Year after year, Team Solitude develops young skiers and snowboarders into confident mountain athletes. Our multi week and season-long programs offer children of all abilities the opportunity to explore exciting terrain while learning and refining new skills. All programs provide optimal instructor-to-student ratios based on age and ability. Our coaches provide a structured approach to goal setting and lesson planning that supports their development.

Whether you are focused on first day or first place, competition or serious fun, we’ve got a place on our team for your young skier or rider. And don't be surprised if your child makes a few lifelong friends along the way!

What Makes Us Different?

We believe that excellence doesn’t require exclusivity. Unlike other competitive programs we have no tryouts, lottery systems, or other obstacles for those who wish to join a team. Our program staff works with each athlete and their family to determine the best pathway to their goals. As athletes' needs change, we have the ability to grow with our team members. Team Solitude operates as part of the resort, not through a partnership agreement, which means our funding isn’t reliant on charitable donations and our capacity is not limited. Our athletes enjoy lift line priority, lunch program, and guaranteed parking.

Our program serves as a pipeline for kids who have graduated from traditional ski & ride lessons to become competitive athletes, and/or lifelong skiers, as well as for our coaches to excel in their career and create a home at Solitude.

In addition to offering elite junior programming in the Race and Freeride disciplines, we develop all of our athletes to take their skills and passions into any field as they mature and continue their personal education.

We strive for our athletes to continue into adult competition, consider becoming coaches themselves, and most importantly, to become leaders and contributors in their community and the outdoor industry at large.
